recently featured this concept in our 2/20/07 newsletter
(15% growth). This is a quick service, juice/smoothie
concept, open for lunch and dinner hours, with a
$2-$6 per person check average. Units have seating
for about 10. Trading areas are AZ, CA, CT, DC,
FL, GA, HI, IL, KS, MA, MD, NM, NY, OH, TX, VA,
and WA, with a Charlotte, NC store to open this
fall. 99% of locations are franchised.
Gilbert, AZ-based NATIVE NEW YORKER (founded
1979) has increased by 3 units, from 15 to 18 (20%
growth). These restaurants are family/casual American
sports bar and grills, specializing in chicken wings.

from 5 to 7, entering into the state of NV. Other
concepts are Bridgewaters (1), Michael Jordan's
(1), Monkey Bar (1), Twenty-Four Fifth (1), and
Westminister Ballroom (1). Overall company increase
was from 10 to 12 (20% growth). The restaurant concepts
are upscale steakhouses, open for lunch and dinner,
with a $15-50+ per person check average. Seating
is for about 250. Catering and banquet facilities
are available. All locations have a full bar. Restaurants
trade in the states of FL, NJ, NV, NY, and TX.
Gaithersburg, MD-based JERRY'S SUBS & PIZZA
(founded 1954) has opened 5 units, from 96 to 101
(5% growth). These quick service pizza/sandwich
shops are open for lunch and dinner, with a $2-$6
per person check average. Units seat about 60. Catering
is available. Locations are in the states of DC,
DE, MD, PA, VA, and WV. More than 90% of locations

Applebee's franchise, THE ROSE GROUP based
