Growing and emerging concepts

FIREHOUSE SUBS of Jacksonville, FL (founded 1994) has increased by 18 units, from 258 to 276 (7% growth) and expanded into NV and KY. These are quick serve units with seating for about 20. The check average is around $2-$6 per person. Stores are 88% franchised and are located in AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, NV, SC, TN, TX and TX.

LA PALETERA based in Houston, TX (founded 1997) has increased by 4 units, from 37 to 41 (11% growth). These are quick service ice cream stores with seating for about 20 to 30. Catering is offered. More than 90% of locations are franchised. All are located in TX.

Sacramento, CA-based MOUNTAIN MIKE'S PIZZA (founded 1978) has increased by 4 units, from 120 to 124 (3% growth). These quick serve pizzerias are open for lunch and dinner, with seating for about 50. Beer and wine is sold. Locations are in CA, NV, and OR. Catering and delivery are available. More than 90% of units are franchised.

Tampa, FL-based BEEF O'BRADY'S (founded 1985) has opened 5 locations, from 215 to 220 (2% growth), while also closing their only LA location. The restaurants are family/casual sports pubs, with seating for about 150. All locations are open for lunch and dinner, with a per person check average of $6-$12. Catering is available. Restaurants are in the states of AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MN, MS, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, VA, and WI. More than 90% of locations are franchised.

Irving, TX-based CHEDDAR'S CASUAL CAFE (founded 1978) has opened 4 units, from 59 to 63 (7% growth) and entered into the state of KS. Other units are in the states of FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, NC, OH, OK, TN, TX, VA, and WV. Restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, serving American cuisine in a family/casual environment. Locations seat about 200. Full bar service is available. More than half of locations are franchised.

DAPHNE'S GREEK CAFE based in San Diego, CA (founded 1991) has increased by 3 units, from 71 to 74 (4% growth) and expanded into CO. These are family/casual locations serving beer and wine. Seating is for about 80 and the check average is around $6-$12 per person. Catering is offered. Locations are company owned are are in AZ, CA and CO.
